Pilot Eytan Stibbe spotted wearing Omega

Former Fighter Pilot, Eytan Stibbe, Wears Omega Speedmaster on SpaceX Mission to ISS

On Dec 5th, 2020, former fighter pilot Eytan Stibbe became the second Israeli astronaut to venture into space. Stibbe boarded the SpaceX Dragon capsule, alongside three others, for a mission to the International Space Station.

But it wasn't just any watch he wore. Stibbe had a special timepiece strapped onto his space suit - the Omega Speedmaster "Silver Snoopy Award" 50th anniversary edition.

The watch is a nod to Omega's contribution to space exploration, recognized by NASA astronauts in 1970 with the prestigious Silver Snoopy Award. The Speedmaster also famously played a role in helping to save the crew of the failed Apollo XIII mission.
