Rapper Rondodasosa spotted wearing a Rolex

Rondodasosa, the Milanese rapper who emerged from the city's drill scene in 2020, has been spotted on the wrist with one of Rolex's most recognizable two-tone references — the Submariner Date ref. 126613, widely nicknamed the 'Bluesy' for its matched blue ceramic bezel and sunburst blue dial.

The Rolex Submariner Date ref. 126613 was introduced at Baselworld 2020, replacing the long-running ref. 116613. The upgrade brought a slightly larger 41mm Oyster case — up from the classic 40mm — and, more significantly, the caliber 3235 movement. That COSC-certified manufacture movement offers a 70-hour power reserve, the Chronergy escapement for improved efficiency, and a Parachrom hairspring for magnetic resistance. The bi-directional Perpetual rotor keeps winding efficient. Water resistance remains rated to 300 metres, consistent with the Submariner lineage since the 1950s.

The ref. 126613 combines an Oystersteel case and bracelet with 18k yellow gold applied hour markers, crown guards, bezel, and the centre links of the Oyster bracelet — the classic Rolesor configuration. The unidirectional rotating bezel carries a Cerachrom insert in blue ceramic, scratch-resistant and UV-stable. The Chromalight lume plots and hands ensure legibility in low light. It ships on the familiar Oyster bracelet with the Oysterlock safety clasp and Glidelock extension system.

Among collectors, the 'Bluesy' occupies a comfortable middle ground: less exclusive than the full-gold ref. 126618, more flashy than the all-steel ref. 124060. The two-tone combination has historically attracted criticism from purists but has built a loyal following — particularly in hip-hop and entertainment circles — and holds its value reliably on the secondary market. The current 126613 generation, now with ceramic bezel replacing the earlier aluminum insert versions, is the cleanest execution of the formula yet.

Rondodasosa, whose debut EP dropped in 2020 and who has since become one of the more distinctive voices in Italian urban music, wears the Submariner Date ref. 126613 with the easy confidence the watch tends to project. Grey-market pricing currently sits around $18,000 USD, a moderate premium over retail that reflects consistent demand for the reference.
