The Nautilus 5980 family was introduced in 2006 to mark the 30th anniversary of the original ref. 3700, translating the Nautilus architecture into a proper chronograph for the first time. The ref. 5980/1400R-011 takes that platform and escalates it dramatically. The 40.5 mm case is crafted in 18-carat rose gold and set with a total of 1,343 diamonds. At an official retail price of approximately $450,000, the piece is already positioned far beyond standard luxury. On the grey market, values have climbed to around $950,000, reflecting both scarcity and the sustained Nautilus fever that has defined the secondary market for years.
