Singer Anuel AA spotted wearing Patek Philippe

Anuel AA was recently photographed wearing one of the most statistically rare wristwatches on the planet: the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/P, a five-piece platinum limited edition produced in 2016 to celebrate the Nautilus's 40th anniversary. With fewer examples in existence than fingers on one hand, spotting this reference on any wrist — celebrity or otherwise — is a genuine horological event.

The Nautilus 5711/P is built on the same architectural DNA as the standard steel 5711/1A, but executed in 950 platinum and elevated to jewellery-watch status through the integration of baguette-cut emeralds along the stepped bezel and as hour markers on the deep blue-grey dial. The movement inside is Patek Philippe's Calibre 315 SC, a self-winding manufacture movement with a 45-hour power reserve, 28,800 vph beat rate, and Gyromax balance — the same technically accomplished base used across the 5711 family, but here dressed in a case material that adds both weight and gravitas to the wearing experience. The integrated bracelet, one of the defining features of Gerald Genta's 1976 original, is likewise rendered in platinum.

From a collector standpoint, the 5711/P occupies a category almost entirely its own. The standard steel Nautilus 5711/1A was already one of the most difficult watches to acquire through authorized dealers before Patek Philippe discontinued it in 2021. The 5711/P, however, was never offered through normal retail channels in any meaningful sense — five units, distributed at Patek's discretion, means that secondary market appearances are genuinely rare occurrences. It is the kind of piece that defines a serious collection rather than merely enhancing one.

Anuel AA has established himself as one of reggaeton's most commercially dominant figures, with a taste in timepieces that reflects both financial capability and an eye for pieces with real collector substance. The 5711/P is not a watch one stumbles into — it requires both the right relationships and the willingness to operate at a price point that places it well beyond the reach of standard luxury consumption.

On the grey market, the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/P commands prices in the region of $750,000, a figure that reflects scarcity rather than speculation alone. There is no official retail price in any conventional sense given the allocation model, but the emerald-set platinum Nautilus stands as one of the clearest examples of horological and material value converging at the highest level.
