Milan-born rapper and record producer Gué Pequeno — born Cosimo Fini and one half of the legendary duo Club Dogo — was recently photographed studying his wrist, drawing attention to one of the more audacious custom Rolex pieces in Italian hip-hop right now. The watch in question is a heavily modified Rolex Datejust 41 in stainless steel, subjected to a full aftermarket diamond-setting treatment that leaves virtually no metal surface visible to the naked eye.

The base reference appears to be the Rolex Datejust 41 — most likely ref. 126300 — built around Rolex's in-house Calibre 3235 automatic movement. That movement features a Chronergy escapement, Parachrom hairspring, and a 70-hour power reserve, delivering +2/-2 seconds per day accuracy. The 41 mm Oyster case in 904L stainless steel provides the canvas, while the signed winding crown and screw-down caseback ensure 100-metre water resistance — all retained beneath the custom stone-setting work.

The aftermarket modifications here are extensive. The bezel, case sides, lugs, and bracelet links have been fully pavé-set by a third-party jeweller — likely a U.S. or European custom house — using what appears to be several carats of round brilliant-cut diamonds in a bright-white colour grade. The dial itself is a vivid red lacquer with oversized silver-toned Roman numeral hour markers and a matching date window at 3 o'clock. This combination — red dial, full-ice case — is among the most requested configurations in the hip-hop and urban luxury scene.

Collectors should note that aftermarket diamond-setting voids the Rolex manufacturer warranty and makes servicing more complex, but it simultaneously creates a one-of-a-kind piece with a street value that often exceeds the sum of its parts. The grey market for the base ref. 126300 sits around $8,500–$10,000 USD, while the custom work and stones push the total to the reported $35,000 range.

Gué Pequeno has long been regarded as one of Italy's most style-conscious MCs, and this Datejust fits seamlessly into a persona built on luxury signifiers deployed with confidence. It is not a subtle watch — nor is it meant to be.
