Michael Blakey, the British record producer known for his work with artists spanning multiple decades and recently celebrated for crossing one million YouTube subscribers, chose a suitably monumental timepiece to mark the occasion. He was spotted at a Jacob & Co boutique environment wearing the brand's most technically ambitious creation: the Twin Turbo Furious Double Triple-Axis Tourbillon in 18K rose gold, a watch limited to just 18 examples worldwide.

The Twin Turbo Furious is built around what Jacob & Co calls its most complex movement to date. The manually wound calibre JCAM37 delivers twin triple-axis tourbillons — each cage rotating on three independent axes at 30-second, 2-minute, and 4-minute intervals — alongside a decimal minute repeater, a differential display, and a split-seconds chronograph. The oversized case measures 57mm × 50mm in 18K rose gold paired with a black carbon composite frame, giving the watch its instantly recognisable motorsport-derived silhouette. The 'Pit Board' sector at the lower centre of the dial and the fuel gauge subdial reinforce the Formula 1 aesthetic that has become a Jacob & Co signature.

From a collector standpoint, the Twin Turbo Furious occupies a rare position: it is one of the few watches in production that can legitimately claim to out-complicate most Swiss grand complications on a purely mechanical count. The dual tourbillon architecture alone would command attention; the addition of a decimal minute repeater elevates it into conversation with pieces from Patek Philippe and Breguet at multiples of the price. The 18-piece limitation ensures near-immediate secondary market scarcity.

Blakey's connection to Jacob & Co fits naturally. The brand has long cultivated a clientele drawn from entertainment, music, and sport — individuals who approach a watch the way they approach a studio production: go bigger, go technically bolder. Pointing directly at the watch while standing in front of the Jacob & Co display is the clearest possible endorsement.

At UK list price of approximately £435,000 — translating to roughly $550,000 USD at time of release — the Twin Turbo Furious was never positioned as an accessible purchase. On the grey market, where all 18 examples are effectively spoken for, transaction prices when pieces do surface have reportedly exceeded list, making this one of Jacob & Co's strongest appreciating references in the resale ecosystem.
