About Anitta’s watch collection

Anitta, born Larissa de Macedo Machado in Rio de Janeiro, is Brazil's most globally recognized pop artist. Rising from the favela of Honório Gurgel, she built one of Latin America's most commercially dominant music careers through a combination of funk carioca, reggaeton, and pop crossover. Her 2022 track "Envolver" made her the first solo Brazilian artist to reach number one on Spotify's global chart, a milestone that cemented her standing far beyond the Latin market. She has collaborated with artists including Cardi B, J Balvin, and Madonna, performed at Coachella, and become a recurring presence at major international fashion and cultural events.

When it comes to watches, Anitta gravitates toward high jewellery pieces that hold their own against elaborate red carpet looks. The clearest example in the Anitta watch collection is the Roger Dubuis Velvet Full Baguette Diamond, which she wore to the 2023 Met Gala in New York City. The piece — a 38mm platinum case set entirely in baguette-cut diamonds — belongs to Roger Dubuis's dedicated high jewellery watch line for women, the Velvet collection, which sits at the crossroads of haute horlogerie and precision gem-setting. Roger Dubuis produces this reference entirely in-house at its Geneva manufacture, and the full baguette configuration represents some of the most labour-intensive diamond work the maison undertakes.

Choosing a Roger Dubuis at an event like the Met Gala is a specific kind of decision. The brand does not chase broad name recognition in the way some luxury houses do, which makes the reference legible primarily to watch-literate audiences. For Anitta, who has consistently used fashion and accessories to signal cultural fluency rather than simple luxury spending, the Velvet Full Baguette reads as a considered pick — technically serious, visually forceful, and genuinely rare on the red carpet circuit.
