About Pusha T’s watch collection

Terrence Levarr Thornton, known professionally as Pusha T, is one of hip-hop's most respected figures. He first rose to prominence in the early 2000s as one half of the Virginia-based duo Clipse, alongside his brother No Malice. The group's debut album Lord Willin' (2002) and its follow-up Hell Hath No Fury (2006) are regarded as defining works of the era, praised for their sharp lyricism and minimalist production from the Neptunes. Beyond recording, Pusha T has built a parallel career as president of Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label, overseeing some of the imprint's most commercially significant releases. His solo catalog — including Daytona (2018) and It's Almost Dry (2022), the latter of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 — has cemented his standing as a craftsman with little tolerance for filler.

The Pusha T watch collection, at least what has surfaced in public, leans toward the upper tier of the Rolex catalog. At the 2024 Met Gala, he arrived on the red carpet wearing the Rolex Day-Date 40 reference 228349RBR — a 40mm case in 18k white gold with a baguette-cut diamond-set bezel, designated by the RBR suffix in Rolex's nomenclature. The Day-Date, long associated with heads of state and industry leaders, is a deliberate choice for a high-visibility event like the Met Gala, where every accessory is considered. The 228349RBR sits at the top of the Day-Date 40 range and is not a piece typically found at retail.

With only one confirmed sighting in our database so far, drawing broad conclusions about his collecting habits would be premature. What the Met Gala appearance does suggest, however, is a preference for restrained but high-specification pieces — no flashy independent brands or novelty dials, just a technically serious Rolex worn in the right context at the right moment.
