Ty Burrell — watch collection

About Ty Burrell’s watch collection

Ty Burrell is an American actor best known for playing Phil Dunphy on the ABC sitcom Modern Family, a role he held for eleven seasons from 2009 to 2020. That performance earned him two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, in 2011 and 2014, along with multiple SAG Award wins as part of the ensemble cast. Before Modern Family made him a household name, Burrell built a steady career in theater and film, with notable appearances in Dawn of the Dead (2004) and the Marvel Cinematic Universe's early entries. He has also lent his voice to the DreamWorks animated franchise Mr. Peabody & Sherman.

The Ty Burrell watch collection, based on what has been documented so far, points toward a collector who favors technical substance over flash. The single confirmed sighting places him wearing a Montblanc Meisterstück Heritage Perpetual Calendar — reference 111622 — at the Primetime Emmy Awards. It is not a watch that shouts across a red carpet; it is the kind of piece that rewards a closer look. Powered by Montblanc's in-house Calibre MB 29.14 automatic movement with a 72-hour power reserve, the Meisterstück Heritage Perpetual Calendar is one of the more mechanically serious offerings in Montblanc's lineup, displaying date, day, month, and moon phase through a well-organized dial.

Choosing a perpetual calendar at an awards ceremony — rather than something purely decorative — suggests Burrell is drawn to horology for the craft rather than the logo. Montblanc occupies an interesting position in the watch world: accessible enough to avoid ostentation, yet serious enough in its recent in-house movement development to satisfy a genuine enthusiast. With only one watch confirmed in our database, there is almost certainly more to uncover.
