Mixed martial artist Conor McGregor spotted wearing Chopard

Baguette setting is considerably more labour-intensive than brilliant-cut pavé work: each rectangular stone must be individually fitted and secured by hand, demanding precise calibration of depth and alignment. The result is a continuous geometric field of white light that intentionally subordinates the dial architecture to the stone surface.

Among collectors, the L.U.C Tourbillon occupies a specific niche — appreciated by those who follow Chopard's Fleurier manufacture credentials rather than its mainstream commercial lines. The movement lineage traces back to the founding of L.U.C in 1996 by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, and the calibres produced there have consistently attracted serious horological attention. The fully jewelled ref. 171933-1001 variant, however, targets a buyer for whom technical provenance and jewellery impact are equally weighted.

McGregor has built a post-fighting public identity around luxury consumption — whiskey, fashion, and conspicuous horology among them.
