Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri Makes Major Style Statement with Rolex Watch at Milan Fashion Week

When it comes to fashion, it's not just about what you wear, but how you wear it! During Milan Fashion Week in 2015, Marco Bizzarri, CEO and President of Gucci, turned heads with his rare vintage stainless steel Rolex Perpetual Precision "Padellone" ref. 8171 watch.

Featuring a triple calendar and moon-phase on a beads of rice bracelet, this timepiece was not only incredibly stylish, but also extremely rare. In fact, Rolex only produced two wristwatches equipped with a moon phase: the 8171 and the Oyster version, ref. 6062.

Most of these watches, which were produced between 1948 and 1952, were cased in yellow gold. However, there are very few pieces that were cased in pink gold or stainless steel, making Bizzarri's watch an even more remarkable find.

It's no surprise that a similar exemplar was sold by Christie's in 2013 for a staggering €217,000. With such a high price tag, this rare watch is truly a unique and sought-after piece among collectors.
