The caseback offers an unobstructed view of the skeletonised movement, a calling card that transforms the watch into kinetic sculpture.

Alonso has worn Richard Mille since the early 2010s, and the brand has built several references around him directly. The RM 50-03 McLaren is the most technically ambitious of those collaborations, fusing his Formula 1 pedigree with McLaren's aerospace materials expertise. Seeing it on his wrist is less a celebrity sighting than a product functioning exactly as intended by its makers.

With a UK list price in the region of £800,000, the RM 50-03 McLaren sits at the extreme upper end of production watchmaking.
