Entrepreneur AbdulRahman Al Romizan spotted wearing a Richard Mille

Saudi entrepreneur and businessman AbdulRahman Al Romizan was recently photographed wearing a Richard Mille RM 50-03 McLaren Tourbillon Split Seconds Chronograph — one of the most technically ambitious wristwatches produced in the last decade and a legitimate grail piece among serious collectors.
The RM 50-03 McLaren is built around a manual-winding calibre with a tourbillon, split-seconds chronograph, and a hours, minutes, and seconds display, all housed inside a case constructed from three distinct advanced materials: grade-5 titanium, Carbon TPT, and Graph TPT. That last material is the headline act. Developed with input from McLaren's Formula 1 programme, Graph TPT is a graphene-reinforced composite that sits six times lighter than steel yet claims 200 times its tensile strength. The result is a complete watch — case, movement, strap — that tips the scales at a barely believable 38 grams. The case itself measures 42.7 mm × 49.94 mm, typical of Richard Mille's tonneau architecture, and water resistance is rated to 50 metres.
Richard Mille introduced the RM 50-03 in 2017 as the culmination of its ongoing McLaren partnership, which had already produced the Carbon TPT-cased RM 50-02. Where that watch pushed lightness through carbon layering, the RM 50-03 went further by integrating graphene at a structural level. Production was capped at 75 pieces, making the reference immediately significant for the collector community. The split-seconds complication alone — requiring a precise column-wheel and rattrapante mechanism integrated alongside a flying tourbillon — would justify the price on mechanical grounds alone.
Al Romizan, active across business ventures in the Gulf region and well known on social media for his affinity for ultra-high-end horology, wears the RM 50-03 as a statement of technical literacy rather than simple luxury. Notably, he wears it on a rubber strap rather than the original elastic band — a common owner preference — though the quoted 38-gram figure corresponds to the elastic configuration.
On the secondary market, the Richard Mille RM 50-03 McLaren commands prices well into eight figures in some currencies. With only 75 examples in circulation, auction appearances are infrequent, and private sales typically exceed the original retail figure by a substantial margin, reflecting both the watch's technical pedigree and its near-impossible rarity.
