Among collectors, the 116506 occupies a well-defined position: it is the most expensive production Daytona Rolex currently lists, and its restricted platinum material means supply has always been tightly controlled. Grey market premiums have remained consistently above retail, a pattern that shows no sign of reversing. The reference attracts buyers who want the Daytona experience elevated to its absolute material ceiling.

Meek Mill's watch profile has long reflected a preference for pieces that carry genuine horological weight rather than simply a recognizable logo. The Daytona 116506 retails at approximately $85,775, while current grey market valuations place it closer to $127,000 — a gap that underscores how seriously the secondary market regards this particular reference.
