Business man Steven Zhang spotted wearing Patek Philippe

If you're a fan of luxury watches and football, you may have heard of Steven Zhang, the Chairman of F.C. Inter, and his jaw-dropping timepiece. Zhang wears a Patek Philippe Split-Seconds Chronograph with a perpetual calendar, specifically the extremely rare stainless steel Ref. 5004A model.

The Ref. 5004 was a groundbreaking watch when it was first introduced. It was the first wristwatch made by Patek Philippe to feature a split-seconds chronograph with a perpetual calendar. The watch served for fifteen years before it was finally withdrawn from the catalogue, with the stainless-steel version being released as a limited edition of only 50 pieces.

The stainless-steel version of the Ref. 5004 is recognisable thanks to its dial, which features baton indices and a white/cream tone. This is in contrast to other white metals which sport Arabic numerals. These differences make the Ref. 5004A a coveted watch amongst collectors.

Interestingly, despite being a limited edition, rumour has it that more than 50 steel-cased Ref. 5004s were produced. Nonetheless, the market price for this stunning watch stands at an estimated €500,000.
