The proprietary movement achieves this through a differential gear system that cross-references a rotating annual cam with a latitude-adjustable cursor, producing a readout on the chapter ring that shows both the current time of day and the morning and evening solar thresholds simultaneously.

The Métiers D'Art Azur edition wraps this movement in a platinum case and pairs it with one of the most labour-intensive dials in the independent segment. The dial plate has been physically hollowed into a field of tiny alveoli — recessed cells — into which an enameller deposits individual dabs of lacquer by hand. The process is repeated, layer by patient layer, until the finished surface resolves into a graduating spectrum running from deep midnight blue at the periphery toward a luminous azur at the centre. The result reads almost like a cross-section of ocean depth. A blue galuchat-textured leather strap completes the aquatic palette visible in Zhang's sighting.
