Jas Mathur, entrepreneur and founder of the Limitless brand, was recently spotted wearing one of the rarest Richard Mille references in existence: the Red Quartz TPT RM 52-01 Skull Tourbillon, a watch limited to just ten pieces worldwide.

The Richard Mille RM 52-01 is built around one of the manufacture's most theatrically ambitious dial concepts — a three-dimensional skull rendered in a combination of materials that occupies the movement architecture itself. The tourbillon cage sits within the composition, integrating haute horlogerie mechanics with what amounts to wearable sculpture. The baseplate and bridges are machined from grade 5 titanium, keeping the total case weight remarkably low despite the visual density of the piece. The manual-winding movement, calibre RM52-01, operates at 21,600 vph and offers approximately 48 hours of power reserve. Water resistance is rated to 50 metres.

What separates this particular variant from the standard RM 52-01 is the case material. Red Quartz TPT is produced through a proprietary filament-winding process developed by North Thin Ply Technology in partnership with Richard Mille. Layers of quartz filament, each measuring just 45 microns in thickness, are wound at precisely controlled angles and infused with a red pigmented resin before being compressed and cured. The result is a case of exceptional torsional rigidity, lighter than titanium, and completely unique in its marbled, flame-like patterning — no two cases are identical.

With production capped at ten units globally, the Red Quartz TPT RM 52-01 occupies a tier beyond even the standard limited runs that characterise Richard Mille's portfolio. Collectors regard it as a serious acquisition not merely for its spectacle but for the convergence of material science, movement engineering, and sculptural design that Richard Mille executes at this level. The skull motif, introduced in the RM 52-01 lineage, has become one of the brand's most culturally recognisable signatures.

Jas Mathur, known for his Limitless wellness and supplement empire, has cultivated a public profile that aligns closely with extreme performance and conspicuous ambition — qualities Richard Mille has long marketed against. At a UK list price of £520,000, this is not a watch that enters a collection quietly. On the grey market, verified examples command premiums well in excess of retail, reflecting both the ten-piece limitation and near-zero secondary market availability.
