Pilot Mick Schumacher spotted wearing Cyrus

Spotted in the Haas F1 pitlane during a Sky Sport interview, Mick Schumacher was wearing what sharp-eyed observers will recognize as one of the rarest chronographs currently in production. The watch on his wrist — a Cyrus Klepcys DICE in black DLC-treated titanium, limited to 50 examples worldwide — is not the kind of piece you stumble into at an airport boutique.

Cyrus is a Geneva-based independent founded in 2010, and the Klepcys DICE sits at the top of its technical hierarchy. DICE stands for Double Independent Chronograph Evolution, which describes exactly what the movement delivers: two chronograph mechanisms that can each be started, stopped, and reset independently of one another, or synchronized for conventional split-time use. The open-worked dial makes this architecture visible, exposing column wheels, gear trains, and twin sub-registers in a layout that reads more like an engineering schematic than a watch face. Blue anodized components and red-tipped hands provide visual anchoring without overwhelming the mechanical spectacle beneath.

The case itself follows Cyrus's signature cushion-shaped geometry — broader at the lugs, with integrated pushers flanking the crown — executed here in grade 5 titanium with a full black DLC coating. Water resistance is rated to 50 metres. The proprietary movement, developed in-house, beats at 28,800 vph and offers approximately 48 hours of power reserve. At 44mm it wears large but sits comfortably on the wrist due to titanium's low density.

From a collector standpoint, Cyrus occupies an interesting niche: technically ambitious, genuinely independent, and historically undervalued relative to the complexity on offer. A 50-piece DLC titanium limited edition of the DICE is the kind of allocation that disappears quietly among serious movement enthusiasts rather than through marketing campaigns.

Schumacher's choice is contextually fitting. As the son of seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Michael Schumacher and a racing driver himself, precision timekeeping is professional vocabulary for him. The Cyrus Klepcys DICE retails at $37,700 — significant money, but arguably modest given what the movement accomplishes. Grey-market availability is extremely limited given production numbers.
