Artist Ice Davis spotted wearing Patek Philippe

The watch world occasionally produces a sighting so singular it defies conventional critical framing. Ice Davis — son of Atlanta rap icon Gucci Mane and entrepreneur Keyshia Ka'oir Davis — was photographed wearing a fully baguette-set Patek Philippe Nautilus custom built by New York–based Pristine Jewelers and tagged 'Baby Chandelier.' The piece carries a reported price of $150,000, a figure that situates it well above most professional athletes' wrist game, let alone that of a toddler in a Gucci polo.

The base reference appears to be the Patek Philippe Nautilus in its 28mm ladies' format, the smaller sibling of Gerald Genta's iconic 1976 octagonal porthole design. The standard 28mm Nautilus — reference 7118 in current production — ships in stainless steel or precious metal with a horizontally embossed dial and integrated bracelet, powered by the in-house Calibre 324 S C, a self-winding movement with 45-hour power reserve. Pristine Jewelers' modification removes the original dial entirely and pavés every component — dial plate, hour markers, hands, bezel, lugs, and all bracelet links — exclusively with baguette-cut diamonds, eschewing the more common round brilliant approach in favour of the architectural, grid-like aesthetic that baguettes uniquely provide.

Baguette setting on a Nautilus is among the most labour-intensive diamond modification work available in the American custom market. Each rectangular stone must be individually calibrated to fit its allocated space with minimal metal showing between gems, a process that can involve 200–400 individual baguettes depending on configuration. The finished piece loses its legibility as a timepiece almost entirely — which, at this price point, is arguably the point.

From a collector standpoint, heavily iced Patek Philippe references occupy a contentious space: purists argue modification destroys both the movement's serviceability and the watch's resale provenance. Conversely, in hip-hop and celebrity culture, custom diamond Pateks represent the apex of conspicuous luxury, a tradition stretching from Jay-Z to Lil Wayne.

Gucci Mane has long been associated with extreme jewellery culture, and gifting a six-figure custom Patek to his son continues that personal brand narrative. Pristine Jewelers, based in New York's Diamond District, has built its reputation on exactly these headline-generating commissions. Grey-market pricing for similarly iced Nautilus customs ranges widely, but comparable Pristine builds have traded privately between $120,000 and $180,000.
