Waiting lists at authorised dealers have historically stretched years, and the reference routinely trades at multiples of its retail price on the secondary market.

Fury's affinity for serious horology is well established. The Gypsy King has been spotted across multiple references from the top tier of Swiss watchmaking, and the 5980/1A is consistent with a collector who understands the difference between wearing a famous name and wearing a genuinely important watch. Appearing on national television at the peak of his sporting career, it was an appropriately heavyweight choice.

At UK list price of approximately £45,000, the Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph 5980/1A is theoretically attainable — but in practice, grey-market premiums have pushed transaction prices considerably higher, reflecting demand that authorised retail supply cannot satisfy.
