Its production run ended in 2020 when Rolex introduced the 126610LN — the current generation with a redesigned movement and Oyster bracelet — which has only strengthened retrospective appreciation for the 116610 series. Pre-owned examples in excellent condition are actively sought, particularly full-set pieces with original box and papers.

Iniesta's taste in timepieces mirrors his playing style — understated, precise, effective. The midfielder who scored the 2010 World Cup final goal has never courted unnecessary attention, and the Submariner Date in stainless steel aligns with that sensibility.
