Chiara Ferragni, Italy's most recognisable digital entrepreneur, was spotted wearing a stainless steel Rolex Submariner Date ref. 116610LN finished in an all-pink custom configuration executed by Wildman Bespoke, a London-based specialist in high-end Rolex modifications. The piece is part of a strictly limited run of just 20 examples, placing it firmly in the territory of wearable collector objects rather than mere fashion accessories.

The base reference, the 116610LN, is one of the most significant Submariner iterations in Rolex history. Introduced in 2010, it was the first Submariner Date to feature a Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert in gloss black, replacing the aluminium bezel that had defined the model for decades. Beneath the 40mm Oyster case — water-resistant to 300 metres — beats the Calibre 3135, a self-winding movement with a 48-hour power reserve, Parachrom hairspring, and chronometer certification. The reference remained in production until 2020, when Rolex retired it in favour of the redesigned 126610LN with a 41mm case and Calibre 3235.

Wildman Bespoke's intervention replaces the stock black dial and bezel with coordinated pink components, a modification requiring the disassembly and re-dialing of the watch by skilled hands. The legitimacy of such aftermarket work is always debated among purists — Rolex's official position is that any modification outside its own service network voids the manufacturer's warranty — but Wildman Bespoke has built a credible reputation for precision finishing, and a run limited to 20 pieces gives the configuration genuine scarcity value.

Ferragni's choice is consistent with her brand identity: luxury made personal and visually arresting. With an audience exceeding 28 million Instagram followers, her wrist is a significant platform, and a non-standard Rolex reads as a knowing flex — expensive enough to signal status, customised enough to signal taste.

On the grey market, stock 116610LN examples trade comfortably above retail given the reference's retirement status. A Wildman Bespoke pink variant commands a meaningful premium on top of that baseline, though precise secondary-market pricing for the 20-piece run remains anecdotal. Retail price for the standard 116610LN at discontinuation sat at approximately $8,550.
