The reference houses a manual-winding tourbillon split-seconds chronograph movement — calibre RM50-02 — built on a grade 5 titanium baseplate and bridges, with a column wheel split-seconds mechanism that represents some of the most technically demanding work in contemporary watchmaking. The skeletonised movement is visible through a case constructed from a combination of white gold and Carbon TPT, Richard Mille's proprietary layered carbon composite that offers exceptional rigidity at minimal weight. The case measures 42.7 x 49.94 mm and weighs under 40 grams complete on the strap.

From a collector standpoint, the RM 50-02 ACJ sits in rarefied company even within Richard Mille's own catalogue. The brand's tourbillon split-seconds references have historically commanded the highest premiums on the secondary market, and the ACJ collaboration — with its aviation-themed dial architecture, titanium skeletonisation, and wafer-thin bridges — justifies that positioning.
