Offset — born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, one-third of Migos and a consistent presence on the hip-hop watch circuit — was recently spotted wearing one of the most coveted references in the modern Rolex catalogue: the Daytona Rainbow in 18KT Everose gold, reference 116595RBOW. The sighting is notable not because of the rapper's well-documented taste for high jewellery watches, but because this particular reference remains extraordinarily difficult to obtain through authorised dealers under any circumstances.

The Rolex Daytona 116595RBOW is built around the Cal. 4130, Rolex's fully in-house automatic chronograph movement introduced in 2000. The movement features a column wheel and vertical clutch — a specification more commonly associated with high-end independent makers — and offers 72 hours of power reserve. The case measures 40mm in 18KT Everose gold, Rolex's proprietary rose gold alloy formulated to resist fading. The bezel carries 36 baguette-cut sapphires arranged in a chromatic sequence from deep violet through to red, while the dial's 11 hour markers are individually matched baguette sapphires following the same colour gradient. Each stone must be cut to precise geometric tolerances before Rolex's gem-setters can achieve the seamless colour flow the reference is known for.
