Will Pan, one of Taiwan's most recognisable Mandopop voices with a career spanning two decades, was recently spotted on the wrist with a Richard Mille RM 11-03 McLaren Automatic Flyback Chronograph — a limited-edition piece capped at 500 examples globally and instantly identifiable by its motorsport-derived aesthetic and signature orange detailing.

The RM 11-03 McLaren is built around the calibre RMAC3, an in-house automatic movement delivering flyback chronograph functionality alongside an annual calendar and a GMT complication — three major complications integrated into a movement that measures just 7.95mm in height. The tonneau-shaped case is constructed from grade 5 titanium paired with Carbon TPT, Richard Mille's proprietary composite material made from hundreds of layers of carbon filament fused under heat and pressure. The result is extraordinary rigidity at minimal weight — the case tips the scales at just over 40 grams complete. Water resistance is rated to 50 metres, and the movement runs at 28,800 vph with a 55-hour power reserve.

Launched as part of Richard Mille's ongoing technical partnership with McLaren Automotive — a relationship that dates to 2016 and has produced some of the manufacture's most collectible limited editions — the RM 11-03 reference represented a meaningful evolution over its RM 11-02 predecessor, with a redesigned crown and pushers, improved ergonomics, and refined case architecture. The McLaren colourway, featuring papaya orange on the skeletonised dial and strap stitching, is an explicit nod to McLaren's iconic racing livery from the Bruce McLaren era. With only 500 pieces in existence, secondary market absorption has been swift.

Will Pan occupies a rare commercial and cultural position in Taiwanese entertainment — equally at home on stadium stages and in luxury brand campaigns — making the RM 11-03 a coherent personal statement rather than a calculated flex. Richard Mille has long cultivated relationships with athletes and entertainers who embody performance culture, and Pan's aesthetic fits squarely within that framework.

On the grey market, the Richard Mille RM 11-03 McLaren commands a significant premium over its already substantial list price of approximately £135,000 in the UK. Secondary market transactions for clean examples regularly land north of $250,000 USD, reflecting both the scarcity of the 500-piece run and sustained collector demand for McLaren-partnership references specifically.
