Rapper Gucci Mane spotted wearing a Bulgari

Rapper Gucci Mane — born Radric Delantic Davis — was photographed cradling his newborn while wearing what is arguably the most extravagant production wristwatch Bulgari currently offers. The image, shared to celebrate his birthday, confirmed the gift came directly from his wife Keyshia Ka'oir, making this one of the more documented high-jewellery watch presents in recent hip-hop history.

The Bulgari Octo L'Originale Full Baguette is built on the architecture Gerald Genta originally sketched for the brand in 1977. The octagonal case with its layered bezel and integrated bracelet predates both the Royal Oak and Nautilus in concept, though it long remained underappreciated. Bulgari's 2012 relaunch under the Octo name — and the subsequent introduction of the ultra-thin Finissimo variants — restored the design to global prominence. It is not visible through a display caseback on this jewellery configuration, which prioritises the sculptural exterior. Hours and minutes are indicated by blue-lacquered hands and blue Arabic numerals — the only colour on an otherwise all-diamond canvas.

From a collector standpoint, full factory baguette Octos rarely trade on the secondary market; when they do, provenance and condition of the gem-setting command a significant premium over list. The UK list price of £667,000 (approximately $840,000 at current rates) places this firmly in the jewellery-as-watch category alongside comparable pieces from Patek Philippe and Graff.

Gucci Mane has long maintained one of the most documented watch collections in rap — his wrist has hosted everything from iced AP Royal Oaks to custom Jacob & Co. creations. The Bulgari Octo L'Originale Full Baguette represents a move toward maison-certified gem-setting over aftermarket customisation, a distinction serious collectors and insurers alike will note.
