Youtuber Jake Paul spotted wearing a Richard Mille

Who & what: Richard Mille RM 011 Custom 'Abu Dhabi Edition' Sapphire Flyback Chronograph – AET Remould Limited to 5 Pieces

Jake Paul has built a brand around spectacle, and his latest wrist sighting delivers exactly that. The YouTuber-turned-boxer was recently spotted wearing what is almost certainly one of the rarest configurations of the Richard Mille RM 011 in existence: the custom 'Abu Dhabi Edition' produced by specialist atelier AET Remould, limited to a reported five examples globally.

The Richard Mille RM 011 — formally the RM 011 Felipe Massa — debuted in 2007 as a cornerstone of the brand's sports chronograph lineup. Its movement, the calibre RMAC1, is a skeletonised automatic flyback chronograph with an annual calendar, 12-hour GMT display, and a column-wheel mechanism. The baseplate and bridges are machined from grade 5 titanium, and the architecture draws heavily from Formula 1 suspension geometry — an aesthetic and engineering choice that made the RM 011 one of Richard Mille's defining references for over a decade.

AET Remould, a Hong Kong-based customisation studio with a strong following in the Gulf region, has made its name rebuilding luxury watch cases in sapphire crystal — a material of extraordinary hardness (Mohs 9) that demands exceptionally precise and expensive machining. Swapping the standard titanium or carbon TPT case of an RM 011 for a full-sapphire shell dramatically increases both the visual drama and the technical difficulty of the piece. At only five units, the 'Abu Dhabi Edition' sits in a category where scarcity is essentially absolute.

Jake Paul's relationship with high-end watches has escalated alongside his boxing purses. He has worn Patek Philippe, AP, and standard Richard Mille references before, but this sighting places him in territory occupied by Middle Eastern royalty and a handful of ultra-high-net-worth collectors — the natural audience for a Gulf-themed, sapphire-cased RM 011.

On the grey market, a standard Richard Mille RM 011 in titanium trades well above its retail price, typically between $120,000 and $180,000 depending on dial and condition. A full-sapphire AET Remould conversion of this calibre — particularly in a five-piece limited edition — carries no conventional market benchmark. Private transaction prices for comparable AET sapphire builds have exceeded $300,000, and the 'Abu Dhabi Edition' designation likely pushes that figure higher still.
